I need to save $$ in this tough economy... SO... I've decided that a good strategy was to minimize the gas costs spent on my commute. :) My solution Suzuki DRZ-400SM:
Since buying the bike, I feel that my productivity has improved as well since I'm less angry when I arrive at work. All the beginner foreign drivers that now flood the Silicon Valley drives me insane when am stuck in traffic with them. Now, I just carefully go to the front of the light and zoom zoom away. Bike doesn't get as good gas mileage as I was hoping, but I believe its close to 50MPG which is still better than the MR2 Spyder by a long margin. |

So much has happened in the last year and a half... I have a few half written stories, but never had enough time to update my site. The biggest most crazy news to all who know me is that I am now a father! I had a son on November 18th 2008 at 3:25PM! His name is Alexander Vahan Morishige. Its been an amazing ride and now I know and feel something I've never felt before. Its very cool to be a parent.

I'm really sorry guys for not posting any new stories the last 2 months. Its been hectic getting all situated in Boston. I'm almost settled in now and hope to have some stories posted from my long drive out here and things that happened in between. Its been 2 months since my last race at Infineon Raceway and I already have an itch to be near another track. I was planning to take a break from the go-fast-crack-pipe, but the bug runs too deep I suppose. I always knew Lime Rock was a short track and from the track map it looks kind of boring... but after seeing it in person I have a different opinion now. Its great for spectating and it has a lot of crazy looking elevation changes and small bumps in the track. I'm looking forward to driving on it soon. Click photo to see rest of the images:

Whenever I've been to Vegas for bachelor parties we always discuss what we should do during the day... but as we should have predicted, we're always totally hung over to do anything except chill by the pool. So, last month when went to Vegas for Elsa's birthday, I decided to go do what we always talked about. Shoot machine guns. We arrived on a friday and the lines at the airport for cabs were rediculous. Luckily, there was a private driver willing to take us for $50. I figured it might not be a bad idea to handle the guns _before_ any of the drinking, so I told the driver that I'd heard of a gun range 3-4 miles south on Tropicana. The driver made a few calls and we were on our way. We got there within 20 minutes from the airport. The range is called "The Gun Store" and their system is great for first time shooters as they have a range master for every shooter and takes care of making sure you do everything safely. I was amazed by how quickly I was able to get onto the range. I shot a AK47 variant and a HK MP5. It was a great experience and I thought I did pretty well overall, though, I'd like to take more time next time and try to hit the marks with more of an overall goal.
