So I was just browsing Slashdot, and they had this article
about how some Japanese company has made the most life-like female
robot... after looking at the article, I knew this topic would have
tons of good commentary responses... I found a hilarious gem modded up in
response to:
Can't judge hotness wearing a fugly salmon colored jacket. Where's
the fake tits? Which begs a philosophical question.... if a robot were
to have breast implants...

This race took place about 2 months ago and was a complete disaster for
me... I didn't have this site up yet, but I figured it would be nice to
have this report here for posterity on my personal site as well.
My race team (Prima Racing)
has its own site which I also maintain. Most of the stories are
headed by Andrie, but I also add my own comentary on some of
them. For notable events, I'll probably either create a short
blurb pointing to my other site.
There will be a big NASA West Coast cross-over event at Infineon Raceway
on August 6-7, I'm also planning to do full race car shake-down and
testing on the 5th with Trackmasters Racing Club as well. Anyway,
read last race report by clicking on the story title... enjoy the story
of how raceaflais finally catches up to me. |

Honda just announced that they will be working on a V10 motor for use
in the next NSX and hopes to have it available in 3-4 years. I'm
not sure if I can trust what Honda says anymore, especially after they
apparently scrapped the HSC project which I thought was going to be the
next NSX. Being an NSX owner is great, but having to defend the
merits of it to the public has always been annoying... Its been pretty
frustrating that Honda hasn't done anything to improve the car or its
brand image. Enthusiasts know about Honda's commitment to
motorsports and their drive for highest possible automotive technology,
but
most people just consider Honda building econoboxes and lawn mowers
these days. The V10 NSX would be a welcome image upgrade to
the
will be almost 20 year old car and technology. I hope
they market the car correctly and have incremental changes to the car
over the following years of its release. They should even
consider releasing multiple model styles
for the non-hardcore N. American "enthusiasts"... such as targa and
spider top and also type-r model for track enthusiasts with harder
suspension and additional weight reduction. In any case, it'll be
intersting what Honda has up its sleeves. |

PBad came up with a brilliant idea a few weeks ago... sitting around
after work in Union Square plaza sipping beers on
fridays after work. The thing that we found out is that its the
prime location for bird watching. There are so many beautifull
specimens roaming around EVERYWHERE! Living in Silicon Valley the
last several years has
really deprived me of how things are supposed be... the ratio of hot
healthy to the sick ones is like 1:100 or maybe worse. I
could go all week without seeing a nice attractive one, how sad is
that. By the time I walked from the Muni station up Powell to
Union Square my neck was sore from rubbernecking... it really is that
amazing. I'm really glad I got a crash pad in SF for the summer
to really illustrate how different it is outside the Silicon Valley...
Why have I tortured myself so long? In the last month I've had
more close studies with good specimens than I do all year in San
Jose. Life is good. Oh and friday beers is always good too. |

interchangeably in modern political discourse, yet their true meanings
are very different.
George Orwell wrote about “meaningless words” that are endlessly
repeated in the political arena.* Words like “freedom,” “democracy,”
and “justice,” Orwell explained, have been abused so long that their
original meanings have been eviscerated. In Orwell’s view, political
words were “Often used in a consciously dishonest way.” Without precise
meanings behind words, politicians and elites can obscure reality and
condition people to reflexively associate certain words with positive
or negative perceptions. In other words, unpleasant facts can be hidden
behind purposely meaningless language. As a result, Americans have been
conditioned to accept the word “democracy” as a synonym for freedom,
and thus to believe that democracy is unquestionably good. |
