Sonoma Winery Chaos

I always thought going up to Sonoma and Napa to go wine tasting was way to shishi and posh for me. Its just not my style.  Though, a couple weeks ago P says he wants to get together a bunch of cool people and go up, he insists its gonna be fun.  I decide that if Marcie, a girl I've recently been dating, would tag along, I'd be up for it.  Marcie agrees and we get penciled in for a slot in the limo for a meeting time of 10:30AM.  Marcie and I leave San Francisco around 9AM on saturday morning with hopes to get there in time.  We get lost and we are running out of gas... fortunately, we get there about 10 minutes late at around 10:40AM. Everyone in the limo looks quite antsy and we can tell the party has already started.  My head was not 100% yet from activities from the previous night, so I was quiet in the limo for the most part. P, Brad, and Jeremy did a good job keeping everyone entertained.  We stopped at 5 different wineries. By the fourth winery, I had had enough of this wine crap... I tried my best to enjoy the different wines, but it just wasn't working for me the same way a good scotch would.  All in all, the wine tasting part was enlightening, but you definitely won't find myself out there wine tasting on my own.  Having good company, especially Marcie, made the difference and I really enjoyed the trip.  After the winery excursion, we all got together at a local pizza joint in Sonoma.  We got so roudy that the managers of the restaurant kicked us out... some of the details include Connie (P's date), licking a teenager's face in an adjacent table.  That and also Brad attempting to have a beer drinking contest with Marcie... which he may have won, but the caveat was that none of us could comprehend him by the end of it.  All in all it was a great weekend. I got to bond with my friends and learn a bit about whine... athough not quite enough to become a whine snob.
