I used to visit Ogrish.com a reality news site before it got merged into the new m-rated youtube clone called liveleak.com. Many of the clips there show the harshness of reality and the imagery of catastrophic and often fatal situations around the world. I think its healthy for all adults to view these things from time to time to remind us the kind of world we live in and to recognize how fast the shit can hit the fan. A lot of the recent footage on liveleak.com has been related to the Iraq and Afganistan war, but also there are many footage from regular accidents as well. The US media keeps most of the raw footage away from the TV, while many people in these war torn countries see this right in front of them on their streets every day.
